Poconna ensures that St. James's financial operations run smoothly and efficiently. As our Financial Secretary, she manages everything from accounts payable and receivable to the intricacies of payroll. 

Poconna’s history with St. James’s is truly remarkable; she has been a dedicated member of our staff since February 1973. Her decades of service provide a unique bridge to our church’s history and a deep commitment to our community’s stewardship. Poconna attended the secretarial school at St. Genevieve of the Pines in Asheville, NC.

When she isn’t balancing the books, Poconna is usually on the go with her family. She is happily married and the proud mother of three sons and grandmother to eight. You’ll most likely find her in the stands of a local stadium or gym, as she spends most of her free time cheering on her grandkids at their various sporting events.
