Living Our Faith
St. James’s is uniquely situated in the context of the Fan District in Richmond—a historic neighborhood where the truest aspects of living as neighbors are still possible. It is our joy and delight to be in relationship with and take to heart the Gospel imperative to love our neighbors.
To join St. James’s is to be a member of a parish that lives into the scripture inscribed above our altar, "Be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only," James 1:22. We do this by being faithful, being in community, and living generously. The most important “membership” we have is in the Body of Christ. All are eligible for membership, and it never expires.
