Ways to Give

Annual Giving (Pledging)

Your annual pledge is a commitment to the future of St. James’s ministry. This financial promise provides the Vestry with a crucial estimate of expected income, which is essential for preparing our annual budget. Click here to make a one-time gift or set up a recurring gift online.
Stock Gifts

Make a gift using appreciated stock to fulfill your annual pledge or make a special contribution. This is often the most tax-efficient way to give because you receive a charitable deduction for the full market value of the stock. You also pay no capital gains tax on the appreciation. IRA Rollover

If you are 70 or older and own an IRA, you can make cash gifts directly from your IRA to St. James’s. This gift is not included in your taxable income. It can count toward your Required Minimum Distribution (RMD), making it one of the most tax-wise ways to give.
Memorial Gifts

Memorial gifts to St. James’s are a special way to support your church and celebrate the life of a friend, family member, or a member of our church community. Gifts can be made online or via check.
Special Gifts

Make a special gift in celebration of a birthday, Baptism, Confirmation, wedding, or other blessing online or via check, and make sure to include your gift information in the memo.
Legacy Giving

Ensure the long-term health and well-being of St. James's. You can join the Whitlock Legacy Society by naming the St. James’s Endowment Fund in your will, trust, or other financial plan. Visit Legacy Giving for more information.

Manage Your Giving

St. James’s uses a third-party platform called Pushpay to manage giving. An account has been created for ALL donors, regardless of how your gift was made. You can login to your Pushpay account at any time and access your Giving Statements, giving history, and view your pledge progress.

In an effort to be better stewards of both our environment and our resources, we will now be providing your quarterly Giving Statements digitally. You will receive your quarterly giving statement via email.

Please note, only tax-deductible gifts will be listed on your Giving Statements. Gifts made through a Donor Advised Fund or IRA will not be listed on your Giving Statements but will be listed in your Giving History. Pledge information will not be listed on your Giving Statements, but you can view your progress towards your pledge online. We will also send out a pledge reminder with your pledge and remaining balance twice a year.

If you set up a recurring gift through Pushpay and wish to increase or change your support of St. James’s, you must login to your account and make the changes yourself. For your security, the system doesn’t allow us to make those edits for you. Please remember to update your recurring gift information if your pledge amount changes from year to year.
