Missions & Outreach
Missions
Following the example of Jesus Christ, the Missions Ministry of St. James’s seeks to cultivate and sustain relationships with God, our mission partners, and each other.
In 2025, the Missions Committee invested in relationships with our friends in Hurley, VA, and the Episcopal Church in Navajoland.
If you’re interested in joining this continued work and imagining the future of mission, or leading a future experience, please contact Missions Committee Chair, Marisa Trible.
Outreach
Each year, we disperse several grants to community partners that do amazing work throughout the Richmond area. We maintain ongoing relationships with these organizations, many of which provide individual volunteer opportunities.
Grants are predominantly funded through our annual Mardi Gras Fundraiser. If you are interested in getting involved or would like more information, please contact our Interim Associate Rector, The Rev. Dr. Kyle Babin.
Navajoland Spiritual Journey
As we continue to discern how to be with the Episcopal Church in Navajoland, we feel called to come alongside St. Christopher’s Mission and support their efforts to reintegrate into the Bluffs Art Festival.
This October 13-20, join us for a spiritual journey to St. Christopher’s. We will continue to build and deepen relationships, assist in preparations for the festival, and grow together as disciples of Christ.
