Caring for the Sacred
LUCY MEADE AND DEBBIE MEIGS
Every week, the beauty and reverence of our worship services are made possible through the quiet dedication of the St. James’s Altar Guild. From polishing silver and brass to laundering sacred linens and positioning flowers, the guild prepares the altar for every service—Sunday morning worship, Baptisms, Weddings, Funerals, and special celebrations.
How it works:
Team Structure: Members are divided into five rotating groups, serving one week every five weeks.
Flexible Planning: Complete schedules are emailed in early January so you can easily mark your calendar and coordinate substitutions if needed.
Serving on the Altar Guild is a wonderful way to deepen your spiritual life, offer a meaningful contribution to our church family, and build fellowship with fellow parishioners. Whether you feel called to care for linens or help with metalwork, there is a place for you.
